Will have to double-check plans, but I'm definitely up for it. I'm out in the eastern suburbs, but I should be able to come in closer to the city without much issue.

At this stage I should be available on that Sunday. I live very close to CDB so not to fussed where we meet.  FYI - It's the hurstbridge train line that goes through Macleod,  takes about 25 mins from the city.

Note: this is afthers day.

My flight gets in at 1545ish so after I sort out my accomodation I imagine I will be available in town from 1730 onwards.

That's handy actually as I'm in Gippsland that weekend, and that gives me time to get back. Looking forward to it.

Hey hey,

times runnin out so thought it best to maybe throw a few suggestions as far as location goes, for our meet Smiley... tell us wat u guys think, and if u got better ideas lets hear em!

1. Melbourne central Lions hotel - sorta a nice bar/restaurant inside Melbourne central station, have some dinner then grab a few beers, pool tables n stuff there too. also close to public transport (built on top of a train station gg)

2. Crown complex - lotsa places there we could go for a meal n relax

3. PJ Obriens on south bank - nice sitdown meals and probably my favourite Irish pub...ohh had many a hangover from that place, get there early n have a pretty good time IMO cause it shouldn't get too crowded on a sunday

Anyway more input ftw, lets hear wat u guys think, ciao!

I have been lucky enough to attend both the Sydney (living in Sydney early in the year) and Brisbane meets (then moved to Brisbane) this year, but sadly, won't be attending the Melbourne meet Sad  Woulda been nice to be at all three!

Oh and I'll 2nd that recommendation for PJ's, great place to drink, errr, eat!  Eating is cheating by the way... lol  It's responsible for quite a few sore heads!

I like the sound of PJ Obriens as I know where that is but how is it for public transport?

last time I went there I remeber walking a long way from the Train. but that could have been as we were out of town noobs and went the long way

Looks like its pretty close. From Flinders Street station, there's a walkway over the Yarra and O'Brien's is just on the other side.
