If I had a lvl 20 and not much time to play I would go and farm mobs for wool cloth ....

It doesn't require lvling a profession to get and sells on the ah for 2 - 3g a stack which is alot of money at lvl 20 ...

It shd have a reasonable drop rate off humanoid mobs of about your lvl ...

Also in regards to the ah I have noticed prices are lower on the weekends if you are buying lots of stuff and higher during the week - no doubt because all the farmers are at school ...

gatherers are def the way to go and mining probably makes the most money while lvling simply because it supplies 3 trades ...

hope all thats of some use ...

regards,

bags other than the kodo one are made by tailors  if u need any ask in g chat and im sure ppl will have spares ore be able to make u some.

ppl do buy the low lvl mats for skining etc whent het are gettin a profession up cause they have changed theiir mind about what they are doing and they  have money ( or the bought gold from a gold seller Sad )

while u are low lvl id suggets focusing on skill training and only lvl the leatherworking when u have excess cash  sell the mats u gather to make cash.

also their is a mod out their called Auctioneer - go get it  it makes the selling on the ah easier and pst me or call me and ill give u a run down on it

cheers gob

Another mod for Auction pricing is Wowecon.  It is like auctioneer, except the information is stored in a database online.  It requires no scanning of the auction house by you as all of this is done by the website people.  All you have to do is launch wow using wowecon's loader.  The loader updates the mod and the information for your server and faction, then launches wow.

awesome, sounds good.

i hit on a bit of a thing which was to buy a stack of light or medium hides for about 3-5 silver each, cure them then sell them back on the AH for 30 silver each. Seems to go alright, plus I just got to 150 leatherworking so now I can work with heavy leather and heavy hides = more cash.

Wool sounds good though, so it comes from most humanoids and it sells fairly well, eh? I'll have to check it out.

A question for you hunters out there...

I trained a pet and now I want to train a different one, can I get rid of the one I have? Or am I stuck with it? I would have chosen a bit better if I'd realise I wouldn't be able to train another.

You can go to a stable master and leave your pet there, sort of like a bank.  Deposit your pet and go tame another.  You can have up to 3 pets.

You can also release your pet by right clicking its portrait. This becomes very useful when getting pets to learn new skills from.

Ok I'm back guys, first of all, thanks for everyone's helpful replies, and let me know if it's more annoying to keep this thread up than to start a new thread for new questions.

My next question is about talents. I've spent 4 talent points but stopped because i couldn't figure out what difference it would make? They all seem like pretty insignificant changes, increasing this by 1%, increasing that by 2%, what does it matter? And as a shaman, is there any one type of talent tree that is better than others? I guess they all have their roles, for me it would be soloing and levelling by killing regular monsters with the odd instance here and there. I like to heal and help out party members by trying to tank a bit and absorb a bit of damage as i have a decent amount of armour (or will have when i can finally wear mail), but mostly it's getting in there with my axe or mace and getting fresh with he bad guys. My spells are a main weapon too, i only really use my totems when i'm outnumbered or uncertain of the outcome of a particular scrap. Which path should i go down?

I am not a shaman player, so please be aware of that when you read this.  I have however played shammies to lvl 25 or so and did a little research at the time.

While enhancement is a good leveling spec, the strong talents are later in the tree, so from my reading, level elemental until 30-40 then switch to enhancement.

I would suggest taking concussion (all 5 points) to make your damage 5% more, then take convection so that you can cast more spells before going out of mana.  After that I am not sure, but I am sure that one of teh shaman player will ba able to help a little more.

Of course, if you decide that you want to play a priest call me and I will set you up.
