Well, in case you hadn't all guessed, my net has wandered away somewhere unknown again.  I love Telstra.... no really.  It appears as though the wireless gateway which I am forced to use is a faulty piece of equipment.  they are sending me another which (according to my reading of various forum posts on the net) will work just as poorly as the original one.

The battle continues!
