Wow guys, thank you so much for allowing the absolute noob along on the raid last night!

That was an absolute blast!! I don't even want to know how feebly I did on the DPS meters, for now I am content at my contribution of demonic pact and a soulstone. Tongue

Yeah, it was a pretty big deal for me. That was the first raid I have ever (I don't count doing the first boss of VoA on a 10 man after Wintergrasp Tongue) been on, and I'll admit I was nervous in accepting Precursor's offer. I was even more nervous after my addons all crapped themselves (errors counting up into the 900s til it offered for me to disable all addons!). No idea what screwed up there but i've deleted all my addons and I'm putting back only the ones I need and a couple of nice extras. The flying ship battle was extremely cool even tho I had no idea what I was supposed to do so I settled for dotting everything I could target (moar dots!) and dodging rockets. Cheesy

Anyway. I just wanted to say a big thanks. From this point on I'll be keeping the appropriate consumables in my bp at all times, just in case I get a last minute chance again! Looking forward to becoming less of a noob with you guys! I didn't dare roll on any of the droolicious loot, maybe next time... Wink

Edit: Do you guys use the Curse client to manage your addons? If there are any addon pros out there who could suggest common problems, I really have no idea what happened!

Awesome to see some fresh enthusiasm coming in, don't worry about being noob, the flat Roos are not a bunch of judgemental elitist jerks and will help you out where ever they can, most icc bosses are now on farm just gotta get the lich king, so feel free to turn up for a raid if there's a spot open they will take you and let you roll for gear, if you are part of the raid group you are entitled to roll, another of Roos raid policies if fair loot distribution.
Hope you enjoy your time with the guild as much as I have

Thanks Dancon. Smiley Believe me I was certainly tempted when I saw some of that goodness. Even more so because I realised that since the big patch I am actually geared pretty poorly. It's nice gear, but I had stacked a lot of spirit to buff my spell power to increase the goodness from demonic pact and now all that spirit is totally useless. Bummer cos I spent all my badges on a few of those pieces too!

In any case, given that I had been in the guild literally five minutes, I really wouldn't have felt too cool rolling off against people that really deserve the drops. Smiley I plan on being around for a while. There will be plenty of time for that!

I got my cruddy addons sorted as well. I fluffed about with them last night, deleted and reinstalled them all and it's clean and working well. Also stocked up on food and got a few flasks, so I'm ready to roll! I'm gonna need to start on the heroics again though, to regear. :\

Nice to have you along.

With your question about curse client - both Gobb and I use it. the only issue is that sometimes Deadly Boss mods is not as up to date.

Ok, good to know Pre.

Last night was another blast! Sure the wipes are a little frustrating, but they just make me want to beat the boss even more. Smiley  I feel like I'm coping with the chaos better too. I'm going to spend some time watching strats today. I've found a bunch of TankSpot guides on YouTube that look pretty good.

I don't really know how to rate my performance compared to all you uber raiders! I'm well aware that I have plenty of room for improvement though, but I'm going to need to do some experimentation myself. Demo guides for 4.x are pretty hard to find. I'm still just trying to get used to the raidframes tbh!

As for the Curse client and DBM... you can always click on the DBM home site link from Curse and check if you have the latest version. Just keep in mind that the latest version can sometimes come with bugs Wink
