Review Saturday raid status ? we have had pitiful attendance on Saturday of late and I suggest if we want raiders to have a WoW ? Life balance then make Saturday a non progression 10 man, 5 man night or even PUG night. That way our party guys can go out with their Shorties and hang with their Homies.

What will Monday be? At current it is a non progress ?do something with whoever is on?. Is this working fine or do we need more structure? Note: Mon-Tues is the Gobb-Pre nights off so anything that is done will need to be by someone else.

Main Progress nights based on current attendance are Wed-Thurs. Frid is ?progression clean-up? or non progression. Set aside Sunday for non progression. (NOTE if we set up a progress team then these nights may change as people make themselves available)

Do we want to run on a one or two week raid rotation calendar? Do we try and do all in one week or alternate the Progression 25 focus between ICC 25 and TOGC 25. Do we want to use the raid extension feature? The advantage is that 2nd week we start in that instance with first few bosses cleared. Disadvantage is we only get loot of those bosses once a fortnight. My suggestion is that we alternate the 25 man on Wed between ICC and TOGC and use Friday as either a continuation of that raid or try the other 25 instance. Note that that may mean only one 10 man prog night. The other alternative is one week have two 25 progression nights and one 10 man and alternate week have one 25 and two 10 nights. (this is all based on the assumption that Saturday night is a blow out)

Having the progress raids finish on Frid means people are free to PUG those on the weekend.

On Non Progress nights / Gearing runs (happy to go with other names so it doesn?t sound like a mental institution excursion). I?ll call it gearing runs for now as it?s easier to type.
We need to be able to say what we are providing for members who are not progression raider rank. It is important we foster these as they are our progression raiders of the future. We will not have the same progression raiders in 3 months as we do now. We replenish ranks by either recruiting or developing our own. Roos have not actively recruited since 2006. (do we need to look at this?).

Progression raiders are expected to bring a Main to these on a defined amount of time. For example a progression raider can bring their alt to a non progress/gearing run every 2nd run. - See attendance post

Sounds a good idea, have progression nights as Wednesday thursday friday and possibly sunday as a filler.

We need more than two progression nights a week. There is nothing stopping other guilders running ToC/whatever on nights that progression is run. The idea of the progression team is that it sits out from the core of the guild.

A one week calendar is best, keeping in a set rotation.

Not until the majority of gear from the early bossess is being DE'd and the need for frost badges drops (first 4 can be done in 40 mins, thats 8 frost badges)

25 man on Wed between ICC and TOGC
Now that people have started to get some decent gear, ToGC is becoming a "fun run" the guild will benifit alot more from ICC+

Note that that may mean only one 10 man prog night.
The ideal format is 2x10man progressions per week and 1(2) 25x progression per week.
The reason for this is that 10mans are easier to manage and allow people to learn the "inns and outs" of each fight in an easier setting than 25.
I feel that 10mans should take priority until 10man content is on farm. As did with ToC.

Should this read as started? We are not up to finishing ICC yet. But the majority should be well into it by this stage, ie, 25xWednesday, 10xThursday/Friday Maybe a 25 on sunday.

General Runs - Again. These can be run at the same time as progression runs.

I dont completely agree with this. There are alot of regular "raiders" that are not progression material. Gear doesnt make someone a progression raider.

We will be actively recruiting to fill 2/3 ICC 10 teams as there are not enough "raid smarts" people in the guild to make this progression raiding work.

While this may be required for class balance, i dont think it's the best idea to make it mandatory as a "Must bring a main". The most complicated part of raiding is the mechanics. Progression raiders would have a good understanding of most fights and be able to perform exceptional on alts.

on of the immediate issues i am concerned with atm is if we have 2 10 man progress grps in then we are lacking regular tanks for gearing runs for icc  we have tanks who are capable of toc   but they are alts of ppl who i assume will be progress raidsrs also - something to be " watch and tweak" but to be aware of when planning

Hi peeps, my computer had been running now close to 1 week with the new power supply, after blowing up a 900W brand new one 3 weeks ago and it seems to be fine.

As such, Gob, I will be able to come back to raiding a couple of times a week starting maybe as soon as Wed/Thu and while I have A LOT of catching up to do, I may be able to help with your lack of tanks when your curent main tanks are busy with other duties during "progression" nights or whaever Wink
