Lots of talk about demotion - for how long?
Some clarity around what a main is or is not re what toon you are expected to bring. Even if it is a declaration od what is in force currently.
Who leads what and how. Who will/can demote - the why is adequately covered.
Raid 101 post is hard to read with the fluro red and so on. -fixed
Please extend the requirement to TS to mods - ORA2, fixed
Please sticky anything that is must read. fixed
"Raider rank REQUIREMENTS" thread needs some sort of 'update plan' because the numbers will/ought to be bumped whenever a new 3.x comes out. What i mean is that people need warning that it is going to be bumped. Also - reading fights - some accepted definition of this seems in order - i hate doing this as i feel it is 50% waste of time but knowing where the guild will go first for a strat will point me in the correct direction. Im only being a PITA about this because i think it is a terrible waste of time. There are fixes for this but im not prepared to step up and wont nudge anyone else into doing it. point taken but awating a better solution
The DPS requirement 'ought' to be measured against what? A target dummy? (no sarcasm intended here) i am just alluding to the possibility of suing a mod to measure and which one will it be and will it be some kind of WWS or derivative?
As an aside - i approve of the changes.
oh and: Dont pug advertised guild runs before the guild has done them. - if the advertised guild time has passed please feel free this is already stated in all the posts
is fine BUT - Please make the er... communication of what is restricted and what is available in any given week, also what raids are unrestricted if any? I ask this because with the PuG interface coming in if it dosent suck i was intending to pug till march when daylight savings pisses off. - yes the calendar is the communication method I have updated posts to reflect this

Roos are about casual raiding and progression.
This is in the raid 101 thread i would suggest including the following: but once in a raid we are serious or something to that effect

For thoes who were not on, All ranks were reset to partying on sunday night. since then the current raiding toons have been set to be the raider rank, and thoes who have been exceptional raiders have been promoted to Senior Raiders.
This is not how it will stay, mearly a starting place.
The "Who leads what and how and who can demote" is up for discussion, please see this thread for suggestions [TBA]
The requirements of adding mods and TS are good they will be updated.
The numbers on the Raider requirements are tenative, i will update this thread to show this and what the dps requirements are and how they are calculated ect

The Raiding 101 post needs to be fixed ASAP. It hurts your eyes and will not encourage people to read anything. done
Raider rank REQUIREMENTS for healers..... If you want to go and have a look at the armoury, can I please be demoted to partying, or make it a little more tailored to each class. addressed
Raid start times are inconsistent across posts. If the officers can not figure out what time raids are meant to start, how is anyone else meant to keep track of it? I prefer the later start for invites (such as 8:40). I hate sitting in the raid waiting for people to coma along and having them join at the last minute (or after). I would prefer to see the raid cancelled if we do not have the numbers by 8:50 than waiting till 9:15 for people to filter in. this should have been fixed they are 8:40 for inv and 8:55 for close
Maintenance of the forum is required. We have a lot of outdated, incorrect and contradicting posts that were "correct" at the time of posting. All officer posts should be in the same style. Headings have a format, points in a certain way. Either get all officers to fix their own or have someone go over them with moderation/editing privileges. this is wht i have been doing takes time and sanity - I lack both - gob
Spell and gramma checking is essential for anything you want taken seriously. Spelling mistakes and sentences that are knocked up quickly and make no sense show you have not put any time into the post. As with the raid confidence mentioned by Shael, how the officers/leaders approach things rubs off on others. the post I think u were referring to was a cut and paste but I apologise for the gob spelling
If you have a long post people are not going to read it all. Put a summary of the post at the top and a more detailed description of the points below for those that have the time/want to read it. good idea will try to remember it - gob
Links to all this information off the main page!!!! Funnel your users to where you want them to go. Every click that someone has to make from the homepage until they find the information you want them to read affects how many reach said information. At each click you will lose a certain percentage of the people that visit.
The home page of the website has links to things such as screenshots, wiki, WWS logs and SK lists that really are not that important. Make use of the tools we have to perform the job you want. You need to consider what people will do, not what they should do. It may not be hard to log into the forums and find the posts, but honestly who will bother?
Remember that a person can be smart, but people are always dumb.

Hi Gob, Since the Raider Requirements topic is locked, I am putting a comment here - you can delete this post after reading As far as I know - and I could still be wrong, but I doubt it - oRA2 has been discontinued and will not be updated anymore. Instead, oRA3 can be downloaded from Curse.com - I am using that already Cheers, CC (removed from the wrong thread and moved here)

I would like to see the sum of these changes part of a post that covers the entire topic.
That any player seeking a raid spot for a second time (the first one is free) needs to actually post on that thread saying that they have read the post and that they areee to abide by the rules/principles contained therein.
I am only this kind of anxious about this issue because if we start sanctioning players that dont do the right thing, having that player formally agree to play under that set of rules gives the authority to act to 'those empowered'
