This post will be filled up over the following week.

Raid Etiquette

THis is abreviated version onf RAID 101 post
Dont pug advertised guild runs before the guild has done them. - if the advertised guild time has passed please feel free
BE on time  -yes that means before 8.55pm ( or have let the raidleader know what time u can come if u have commitments)
Be prepared - See below
While in Ventrillo - during trash feel free to chat, during a boss keep the air clear for essential communications.
Notify an officer if u have to AFK - failure to do so my see u subbed or demoted
Be in the correct Channel.
  • TANKS - ROOTANK
  • HEALERS - ROOHEALERS
  • DPS - ROODPS

DONT pug a run untill after the guild scheduled time please - if u are unable to make a guild advertised time please check b4 pugging - if you will be late on raid night pelase do not pug till we have done the raid for the reset period.

Raids will be notified in the calendar.  If it is not in the calendar then feel free to pug it.

Loot

25 MAN RAIDS Our loot system is a Suicide Kings system - this means that the person at the heighest position on the list who is interested in the loot gets it and then they go to the bottom of the list and everyone else who is in the raid or active on subs moves up from below.  To be an active sub u need to let an officer know and ask to be on the list, you will only be active while u are online.

10 MAN RAIDS loot is done via need and greed

Raid Invites

Raid invites will start 20 mins BEFORE the start time fo the raid - for progression nights all avail players will be invited but RANK and CLASS BALANCE will determine the raid makeup - if we can get more than one run we will. (one run will be a gearing run.)  - If you miss out on a raid spot YOU will get a turn at some stage.

Attendance Requirements

Their are no attendance requirements to raid with the Roos - HOWEVER - to attain the rank of Senior raider and maintain that rank and therefor get priority raid invites to the PROGRESSION raids you will need to be actively raiding each 2 week period, INCLUDING gearing and non progress nights. Failure to attend or notify of absence will see u moved to the raider rank ( yes you can re earn the rank).

Gear Requirements

For PROGRESSION raids in addition to the Blizzard Req criteria for each raid encounter ( see patch notes ) any gear req will be commented here by the class leaders.
To be a member of FlatRoos their are no gear requirements,
See raider and senior raider posts for requirements for these levels.

Personal Preparedness

To raid you will be required to bring your consumables (flasks buff reagents etc) - failure to do so because u cant be bothered will earn a demotion, and raid substitution.
Ventrillo IS required to raid - no Vent no raid - as are the mods listed in the raider posts
General attitude - bring a good one or don't come, none of us are here to sit around while u have a dummy spit cause u did or did not get the raid u wanted, the spot u wanted, the loot u wanted - be a pain and risk demotion stuff the raid around for no good cause and get a demotion.

Conclusion

By attending any Roos Raid (A raid that is run by a Flat Roo member, and the majority of the raiders are members of Flat Roos) with the <Flat Roos> guild tag, you agree to these raiding requirements.

I'll add an expectation to this.

If you have geared up your toon you are still expected to make yourself available for gearing runs even when there is no gear in it for you.

No one has ever "geared themselves up" in epics. It has been 24 other people in the raid helping do that.

To enable progression we require 25 decently geared toons. To gear those toons we need to not only run the high end instance at the time (ie TOC, ICC) but also run ULD 25 at least and sometimes naxx. We have gearing runs regularly scheduled in the calendar.

We got Anub'arak to 15% with only 6 DPS reaching the "required" 4000 dps. What a difference a few more bits of ULD gear would have made.
