Question for Het/AQ/Sodd

Is your insanely high dps coming from a more single target based rotation or are you capable in that spec and gear AoE'ing just as hard?

Speaking for myself my Arc dps is not that high as I only have 11% haste unbuffed, while het is up round 21%.  In Arc build my bonus damage is around 2,890 raid buffed (totems down) with hit cap.  If gear procs it can get over 4.1K, just.  Cannot speak for het or sod on this spec. And I have about 39% crit raid buffed (totems down).  For single target dps this tends to be the build.

Now fire spec is where the mage can just hurt things if you have multiple targets.  My build has me with 2,680 bonus damage (raid buffed and totems down, gear procs will take me to 3.9 - 4K).  My crit % in raid as this build is 51.5% (yer that has to hurt).  So, what does it the Living Bomb rotations and the AoE they give off when they go off (about 10 yard Radius), so in 12 second we can get 11 mobs ready on the 12th second they start poping one after another with rolling ignites and pyro procs you get the idea, I have seen dps go way over 15K once this starts up and with my crit it is a beautiful sight.  Till they all come over to me and say hello you little fire bug.

For het he has the 4 piece sunstrider bonus nice rings etc. (only have 2 myself, saving tokens for the next item on the T9.5)

Yeah it does a bit, I'm trying to work out what kind of mage build is better for what situations, but rather than theoretical I'm looking at who/what we actally have.
