This is a 'cliff's notes' on my tanking experiences to date:
Naxxramas:
Plague Wing:
PlaguebringerTank him in the 'top left' as yoiu enter the room.
Use AoE abilities when he summons his adds and they are in range.
Use a mouseover taunt to pick up any leakers that find their way into the caster pack.
HeiganWhen tanking him in the gap of the flame burst, be aware that you can make out where to stand based on where the previous burst came from.
Keep a 'decent' distance from the platform. Failure to do this means casters get to spend ages casting.
When running, keep away from the platform, you can take proximity damage. Use any ranged damage/aggro abilities to continue building threat as you run.
LoathebWhen tanking make sure to not be effected by spores (they kill threat generation).
If a spore is coming for you and no melee are going to intercept it - dont be afraid to move the boss laterally to the left or right away from it.
Be prepared to self heal if you can (DK's can to some degree) this may be important later in the fight.
Blow quick to recover defensive cooldowns (1-2 min range) to give the healers some help.
If you have a strong mitigation set this may be a good place to take it for a spin.
Military Wing:
Instructor RazuviousMost likely will be taking an add (in 25 man) Build about 50k threat over anyone else on the threat table and go DPS the boss.
If left in a floater role, go dps the boss but make sure you can see the dps pack and go get any add that somehow gets loose. This is different from a MC break.
MC breakers should be obvious - they are/should be moving their add away from the fight before breaking MC.
I am led to beleive that this guy is tankable by a well geared tank or that he can be tanked with cooldowns and 1 priest using MC. (dont really believe this now. Got slammed for 50k when tanking him)
10 Man
You get a pet to operate. You get 2 notifications in DBM, 1 for taunt and 1 for er bone shield but its called something else. Put up bone shield then hit taunt. The other tank will do the same WHEN THEIR BONE SHIELD IS AVAILABWLE. It is not vital to wait till DBM tells ou to do it.
One thing i was poor at was releasing the boss. I was unable to do this very well as i did not really know when i was getting hit or not. Definitely a 'to work on'. Consider repositioning to max melee and zoom out and go side on.
Very important! the button dosent work to force a release on the toolbar. You MUST right click on the pet in the GUI & select dismiss.
Live Side/Dead Side guyTanking trash, do it on the left wall close to on top of the forst spawn point.
Put out your AE when an add comes by.
Use mouseover taunt to grab aggro on any leaker.
4 HorsemenWhen doing the - beat first guy down method - AND if you are tanking the first guy, FOCUS on the second guy so you can get an easy target in anticipation of having to taunt. Be prepared for a resist. In the case of a DK - have death grip ready if dark command fails.
Construct Wing:
PatchwerkKeep your threat below the MT if soaking.
If you get aggro as soaker, blow a defensive cooldown to give healers some reaction time.
GrobbulusWhen add tanking, tab when he says he sprays all around the room. Taunt the slime that pops.
When tanking him, start at the left of the stairs. Go anti-clockwise. Put your view oppisite the wall, not behind your head. When he drops goo at his feet, back up enough for any melee DPS to be able to continue their dps without standing in the goo.
GluthWhen kiting 1 grate, leave death & decay on it and run circles.
when tanking, and NOT currently getting hit, watch your target's target and start taunting when the armour break debuff is at 2 stacks.
If the armour break debuff gets to 4, blow a defensive cooldown.
ThaddiusFlying thru the air is fun. Position Fuegen/Stalag toward Thaddius side of the platform.
Arachnid Wing:
AnubWhen tanking the boss. Turn & run when it is time to kite him across the outer edge of the room.
Grand WidowWhen add tanking, dont be shy about killing them all

When boss tanking, save cooldowns for when she is enraging.
MaexxanaTank in the middle on the tablet.

The end wing:
SapphironTank in the middle. Put the head toward the KT entrance.
Wiggle a bit if you want if it will avoid some blizzard damage.
Kel'thuzadTanking KT you must:
- Maintain threat
- Interrupt frostbolt when you can, preferably in a rotation.
- Watch out for red circles (spin him left or right) If you are really on your toes drop an AMS.
- Drop a 2 min cooldown on engage to give healers time to reorient and finish up adds.
- Drop a 1 min cooldown whenever you want. You will be there a while so its ok to blow it once when things are ticking over nicely just to give healers a breather.
- Have a CD available when the adds are up. The add tank may die and you need some capacity to buy the healers some time.
Obsidian Sanctum:
Flame waves on the left are 'in the middle' and you have to move. Waves on the righe are 'at the end' and you only have to tuck into the end of the island.
[to be confirmed]Eye of Eternity:
In phase 1, be aware of where the sparks are coming from. Position maly so that the DPS pack is between Maly and the spark.
Run him round the inner blue ring. TO do this and to get his feet on the ring you have to pull him past the edge of the inner ring and then jump back on the ring.
Only move him when needed.
Consider honing in on when his breath weapon is going to fire and then pop AMS to counter. Had 38k hp for the last 2 attempts and this was sufficient. 35.5k was not. This had me needing all 3 HP buffs to be able to get past phase 1. PvP gear did not give enough additional HP to warrant using it.
Uludar:
DeconstructorMain tanking - straightforward - hit what is in front of you, heart or XT.
Add tanking - only 1 of the adds is actually tauntable
insert name hereRazorwingPhase 1, tank adds. When razor gets pulled down, take your adds to razor and get them AE'd down
Plase 2, Kite her in a circle and keep moving out of the breath. Taunt to take her off the other tank when the tank gets 2 counts of the debuff OR yours drops off
insert name here. The tank taking her needs to decide when, not the tank that currently has aggro.
IgnisTank him in 3 stations. 2 'near' the line between the 2 ppols of wate. 1 'back' meaning away from the group. NOT too close to the water. His scorch needs to pop so we can melt the adds then take them to the pools for shattering.
Issues:
Need room for melee DPS to get in there.
KologarnWhen tanking him use AE abilities to contribute to damage on the arm(s)
Add tanking is straighforward. Drop DnD under the arm when it is close.
Nature lady with the catsTank the trash at oppisite ends of each circular room/platform. Root the sparks that come from 1 add and go to the other. Drop them both at the same time.
Tanking her, 1 tank on her, 1 on adds. Tremor totem is good. Fear ward is good. Yell at everyone that is not in front of her unless they are feared. Killing 2-3 defenders makes the next one weak enough to be offtanked and ignored.
ThorimMenders in the arena need to be killed preferentially. Get a mage to be main assist for this and burn down each mender. The rest become more manageable.
When doing gauntlet, kill the mender and drag the other 2 adds with you to the next lot of adds, kill the mender there and then all the adds at that station and go to the next one.
HodirIcy blows is what it is all about. Blow a cooldown for this. He will always do it after he does the deep freeze. Be ready for it. Some suggestion that having some FR gear is worth it for the tank. Icy blows is doing about 25k to Booyar as of July'09
