In need of some help

Hi all,

 I am 75 at the moment and i am planning on what to do once i hit 80.

I want to take a tanking role as my primary forcus and raid casual 10 man/25 man (not Uludar) once i get enough gear and develop the required skills.

I am concerned that people will shun me as a tank for instances due to gear and i was hoping to attract a kindly soul or two that would be willing to run with me in the gearing up in heroics phase.

Then some forebearance in raiding 10 man naxx as offtank then main tank

As a start, i have all the epic craftables availalbe for a plate wearer now (titansteel hat, boots and destroyer.  Earthguard ring and neck, all gemmed but not enchanted) except for the leatherworker cloak so i think i have a decent start on some gear.

Any hardy souls out there willing to invest some effort on me?

everyone has to start somewhere when you hit 80, just start asking in Gchat, there will be people willing to run with you as a tank or dps

I am not in game at the time of reading this, but I can suggest a good place to start with gearing, it is what i used to gear myself for Naxx 10, and is a starting point only, but it is a good resource.  It is called Polar's guild.  Link below.  Basically it is a list of gear that will get you to defence cap etc with only quest rewards, rep rewards and crafted gear.  I am by no means saying you should not run heroics, but this list can make the gearing process easier.

thanks Dom!  This was better than what i had found somewhere else in tankspot - think it was DK specific.

I had seen something similar that boiled down to 'go with full player made and replace with Heroic epics when you can' and was going to do that.  These lists tended to be limited to anything that dosent use a frozen orb and i have got what i can of that except for cloak (which i will grab sometime soon as im about to hit 80).

Enchanting this will probably cost a ton but i have some greens to smash so it might not be too bad.

So i will start this tanking journey in something like 6 epics and the rest blue which i am looking forward to seeing what the first numbers look like.  Probably sometime tomorrow *cant wait*
